Learning Beyond the Classroom: A Visit to the Fire Station
Learning extended beyond the classroom as our learners visited a local fire station as part of their recent field trip.
The visit offered them an opportunity to explore a real fire engine, discover the equipment firefighters use during emergencies, and understand how they respond when the alarm rings. What began as a field trip became an opportunity to observe closely, ask questions and connect their learning to the world around them.
Through experiences like these, children discover that learning is not limited to textbooks or classrooms—it can be found in the people, places and experiences they encounter every day.
